How to save Outlook schedule/calendar info to a server on the web.

Jim McCall

I am not a Outlook user, but have extensive computer/network knowledge. I
need to set up 6-10 outlook users to save schedule and calendar information
to our web server. What should I know about doing this and where do I find
the configuration procedure?

Thank You

Assuming pop mail set up, not exchange, all data is contained within the pst
file, a hidden file.
You can back this up wherever (only with OL closed), and, or, use the MS
free backup addin.
Be aware the actual use of a pst over a network is not supported by MS

Hi Jim,

here is a website with solutions about:

"Publishing Outlook Calendars on the Internet or an Intranet"
http://www.slipstick.com/calendar/olpubcal.htm

You can read the items with this solutions but you can normally not create
items or dates with this web based solutions.

On this site is an article on various ways to share Outlook data:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/assistance/HA011477571033.aspx

Public web access to an Outlook PST file:
If you could wait till end of the year we will get a "Web PST". Direct live
access to shared PST files that is stored in your network on PC or server.
The german beta version is still available on this site:
http://www.publicshareware.de/outlook-internet-pst-beschreibung.html
