Is there any way to effectively search contacts by telephone number? My
problem is, that there is no clearly defined format which is used for
telephone numbers here. So a phone number like 0123456789 might be saved
as (0123) 456789, 0123 - 456789, 0123/4567-89, 0123/45 67 89 and I can
easily make up another dozen. When using Outlook's Advanced Search
feature I will only find contacts if the notation matches exactly.
What I'd really like to do is search a contact folder programmatically
when an incoming call is signalled. But currently I doubt that the
AdvancedSearch method will ever return any matches.
Do you have any idea how a can address this problem?
Thanks in advance,
