How to search for items in a public folder and its subfolders at once?

Hi, All!

My Outlook custom form can be saved in a public folder and 3 of its
subfolders. I need a user-friendly way to search for items based on 3 of my
custom properties in the application public folder and its subfolders at
once. It seems the Outlook Advanced Search can search only in one public
folder but not in its subfolders. So, the users should make 4 times search
before they are sure they can find or not a certain item. As I mentioned,
the search doesn't need to be very advanced. It needs to be based on the
values of only 3 custom properties. What can I do to implement a
user-friendly way for such functionality?

I think, I can develop an outlook custom form where the users can provide
value for the searchable fields. If a value id provided, it is added to the
search restriction criteria, otherwise - not. Up to here it is clear. But
how should I implement the real search in the set of folders and how to
present the result of the found items to the users (how to show a kind of
list, similar to the one the standard outlook shows, and if the link to an
item is clicked, the item is open on the screen)?

Any help on these issues will highly appreciated!

Regards, Radost
