how to secure a database in a shared folder?

I made a database with access/VBA stored in a folder in a
machine and this folder is set to be shared with other
machines in LAN. But what I configured for the security of
user and group access to this database in a machine,
doesn't exist in other machines when users run the
database in other machines. That is, I set the
configuration of security of user and group access to the
database in one machine; but the users in other machines
run the same database without the security configuration.
(security configuration I mentioned here is to configure
which users can change/read data and which users can only
read data.)


What can I do if I want the security configuration of a
database in one machines also works when users in other
machines run the same database?
