I have been using word for over 20 years, but am perplexed by the toolbars in
Word 2003.
View/toolbars/formatting is selected, so i should be able to see the second
formatting toolbar. But it is not visible. A blank bar exists where the
toolbar should be.
If I select customise from View/toolbars/formatting, the toolbar is there.
However, once I select Close or Reset/Close, it disappears from view. I have
added several icons/macros in the customise toolbar options, but they are not
displayed when working on the document. Only when customising the toolbar
The choices are all there under the "Toolbar options" icon on the far right
of the blank second row of the formatting toolbar. But they disappear as
soon as I start working on the document.
It means only one extra click to get the second row to display. But it
should be in view anyway.
I am down to my last few hairs!
