How to select dat out a adjustable period ?

For example:


Datum
10500 17-11-2002
3979 17-12-2002
1362 17-12-2002
4000 17-12-2002
5000 17-12-2002
7400 17-12-2002
7000 17-12-2002
2990 06-01-2003
29404 06-01-2003
5673 07-02-2003
5466 07-02-2003
7375 07-02-2003


And I need all amounts fom december 2002:
= 28741

Hi Joost:

Hopefully the amounts and the dates are in separate columns, say A and B.

Try:

=SUMPRODUCT((MONTH(B1:B10)=12)*(YEAR(B1:B10)=2002)*(A1:A10))
