How to select text in a protected form

Hi,

I'm trying to create a form where I have text boxes and check boxes and of
cause regular text.
The user should not be able to change any regular text, but of cause filling
in the form controls.
So far so good, no problem, but I want the user to be able to strikeout
text...
I have two macros to strikeout selected text, and "unstrikeout" selected
text. The problem is that the user can't select text when the document is
protected as "Filling in forms". Any clue how to solve this? I am using Word
2003.

I suppose you could create an unprotected section that contains the text
that might be struck out, but what's the point? Wouldn't it be simnpler to
just insert the text required based on the result of one of the form fields.
If it is essential to have the struck out text displayed for some reason,
then you could conditionally insert the text with or without the strikeout
formatting again based on a check box or the result of a form field.
