how to send a frontpage doc as an html email without outlook?

Carol Ann

I have been assigned to create and distribute a company newletter with
graphics in the email. I have placed everything with text and pictures onto
frontpage but now I have no idea how to send it out. I am using excite email
where i can easily switch to plain text to enter the code.

Please help me understand this graphics and html thing!

Thanks!

Create your page in FP, then copy your html into your Excite email (sorry
not familiar with Excite), then change all the links for your images to
absolute url links to where those pix are stored on the net. You have to
store the images somewhere online.

You must upload the images to somewhere on the net, then remember what the
url's are for your images and change them when you compose the email - in
the email.

| How do I add the absolute URL to frontpage so that the image will show up
on
| the email? I don't understand what I am supposed to do with

| Frontpage?

Hi there, I was having the same problem when trying to send an e-mail from a
page created in FP2003 with outlook (the pictures wouldn't show up, and I
couldnt figure out how to change their address in the message). Well I
figured out a neat little trick that seems to work just fine. I published
the email as a page and created a hidden link on one of the pages in my
website (the link was written in black font against a black background, No
one would know it was there) And then I went to the site, opened the secret
link, and went to "File," "Send," "Page By email" And bam, outlook popped
up, I sent the page, and it's as easy as that! Hope that helps anyone who
was as confused as I was :O)

You probably coulda done that without the link, just browse to the hidden
page. I have mixed success with Page by Email that way...sometimes it doesnt
work.

Good work around though.

tnx.
