How to send Instant Messages through 2007 B2?

I've read the only help file that appears to address Instant Messaging in the
Beta 2 release.
It states:
"Next to the person's name, click the online status indicator. Click Send
Instant Message"
I'm not seeing the "Online status indicator" anywhere in outlook (new
message, contact view, right click on the name, etc)

It also states:
"Online status is available for any person whose instant messaging e-mail
address you have added to your instant messaging contact list."
I can't seem to find where the "Instant Messaging Contact List" is found, or
any help files that discuss it.

I've done some searches, but haven't found any additional info out there
yet. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanks,
B

Do you have MSN Messenger or Windows Messenger installed & active. That's
what Outlook is using for its IM functionality

Thanks Vince, that helped. I assumed that Outlook would have installed
whatever was necessary for this to work on the install. After re-reading the
help file I suppose you could interpret the text as saying you have to
install it, but it wasn't very clear from my perspective.

Now I can see the Online Indicator and the "Send Instant Message" option is
available from the drop down. So, where does Outlook leep the IM logs, do
you know? I seem to remember that this was supposed to be something you
could store within Outlook.

Thanks
B
