how to set default sync calender category in Entourage 2008

Ethan

I am using Entourage 2008. Syncing it with ical then sync with iphone (as iphone cannot sync directly with Entourage). Everything works fine right now except that i cannot set default calender event category on Entourage.

now, whenever i make a calender event on ical or iphone even enotourage. it default category as "none", how do i make it default to be "work" category? Now i have to go in every time to chage it, which makes a lot of trouble.

Please help~!!!!

These are two separate issues, and you are not going to like the answer to
both of them:

* the Sync Services, which is how Entourage and iCal (and the iPhone) synch
data, are not aware of categories, so there is no way to assign events to a
calendar on your iPhone or in iCal and have these changes synch across to
Entourage,

* there is no way to set a default category for events; categories need to
be assigned manually.

If you want to send your suggestions to Microsoft, click on Send Feedback on
Entourage in Entourage's Help menu.

If you want to just add a single category to existing events, do an advanced
find for every event with a category of ³none². When it finishes, select
all, and apply the category you want.
