How to set outlook to mark emails as read ONLY if double clicked.

Whenever I hover over an email in my inbox - it instantly marks it as read...
I have looked through the options menu and did not find an option like
outlook express where it says mark as read after highlighted for 5 seconds or
something. I would like to set it so that the messages are only marked as
read when I double click on them. Is that possible in outlook 2000 ?

Check the options here: Tools menu > Options > Other tab > Reading Pane
