How to set reminders for Microsoft Project

Having a problem getting emails for job reminders(overdue, finished, etc.).
Settings for users seem correct.

Also tried to open project file and selected a task for which I want a
reminder. Went to Tools menu, said to point to Workgroup and says to set
reminder but couldn't find Workgroup under Tools. What did I do wrong? Help?!?
