How to set the order Property

I have a subform on my form and I want to set the order
by property of that subform to the dateDue field (which
is a date) but it won't work. I can set it to the amount
field (which is currency) but not the dateDue. The date
due has an input mask and it is just a short date.

In the recordsource of the subform, click on the 3 little dots and go to the
underlying query. In the date field, put Ascending or Descending in the
sort row.
