How to set top and bottom "Margin" setting??

Hi there!
For the left and right margin (horizontal line) I can adjust this
dark part of the ruler (bar) sideways; no problem!
But now I do no longer have this bar on the vertical ruler;
it's all "white" from the top to the bottom of the page
(at the far left of such page)!
So I'd now very much appreciate to get help...please!!

** Go to File, then Page Setup, then check the page setup margins. If
they're messed up, the easiest thing to do, is to hit the default
settings button...if you would rather try to set up the margins the way
you want them, then just increase or decrease the margins settings.
