How to share a custom toolbar???

I know I have seen people ask this question before, but when I search on the
topic, nothing comes up, so I am sorry, but I have to ask this question again.

I have made a custom toolbar with buttons for macros I either found (i.e.
Jack Dahlgren's macros, or macros that came with the software - of course I
left the copyright info in the code, and also my own macros).

I want to share the toolbar with my boss. How do I do this???
Thanks...

Hi LambChop,

Custom toolbars created on your machine live in your Global.MPT file. Go to
Tools --> Organizer. Click the toolbar tab. Copy the custom toolbar from
the Global.MPT file to a project file. I would also make sure you copied any
custom modules that the toolbar buttons call.
Send the file to your boss. On your boss's machine reverse the process -
copy from the project file back to the global.mpt file.

Hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Is there an easier way to copy custom modules???

What we found out is that I can't just email my boss a copy of the project
file with the tool bar in it.....

We have to individually and one-by-one import each individual module into
the Vb editor. This will be very tedious when we begin to think about
sharing this toolbar with a whole department.

Hi LambChop,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

Yes - use the Organizer in exactly the same way as you did for the toolbars.
The Organizer has a Modules tab.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: <http://www.mvps.org/project/>

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :))
