We use Microsoft Live Sync (formerly FolderShare) to keep all types of
documents in sync across multiple computers. It's not "real-time" -- it
takes a few seconds -- but that meets our needs.

And, OneNote senses when an open section has been changed somewhere and it
will update the screen. However, these systems get confused if you make
simultaneous updates to the same section on multiple computers.

Yes, ON may get confused!

When ON notebooks are used shared the built-in automatic synching has to
be used.
And the notebook files have to be *EXCLUDED* from any other synching
solutions.
Otherwise there will be a chaos sooner or later.

So stop using Live Sync for the ON notebook files as well as the local
ON cache ASAP.
