How to shorten list in drop down by more than first letter

I have the list, and typing the first letter jumps to that section in the
alphabet. Is there a way to change the properties to allow selection based
on more letters entered like setting the properties on an Outlook form to
MatchedEntry = Complete? or does this need to be handled with code in InfoPath

Not native in Infopath but i guess you could Mod an existing DDBox in
Managed Code to do this and insert it back in as a custom control.

PS if you get it working I will happily have one off you ;-)
