how to show date replied on emails in Outlook 2007

Can some one tell me how to get back showing the date I replied to my emails
as it would automatically do in Office 2003 using Microsoft Outlook

If you right click any column you can select "Field Chooser". There you can
find several Date fields available. You can even define a new one if you
want.

Thanks
But that did not solve the problem. The reply date always appeared in the
preview space of the inbox not in a column. If I put a column in the view I
cannot get it to show the date I replied to an email, it even put in today's
date for one such column I created and then none for another.

I am still learning to use 2007 version and finding it very difficult as I
am not a programmer or an experienced user.

Do you see the message header in the preview pane? (to, from, date, subject
fields) Right click on the edge vertical separator to the left of the pane
and choose Header information to show and hide the fields.

Thank you but that only tells me who sent it to me and when but not if I had
sent a reply. Diane I have something like 300 emails in my inbox (been lazy )
and now when I go to clear them I have to go to the sent folder and then back
to the inbox where as in Office 2003 it automatically showed in the header so
that even when I didn't move the email to another folder straight away then I
could do it later showing when I had replied
Is there a simple way that I can add the information to the header

Found on another website
Changing the settings under Tools | Options | Reading Pane has fixed this
exact problem for me, including the "hanging".
"Single key reading using space bar" and "Mark item as read when selection
changes" were the culprit settings.
Not an ideal fix if you really need those settings.

But it works
Thanks again Diane

What do you mean by the "preview space" of the inbox?

M

I set it up so that in the bottom half of my inbox screen I can read the body
of the email message. There is a distinct line between which you can adjust
to show more or less of the message.

And so there should be a blue-highlighted line just below the Sender saying
"You replied on dd/mm"

There is now that I have unticked the box that is referred to in my second
reply to Diane

Mine are both ticked (the default setting BTW) and I still see the "You
replied on......." line in emails I have replied to. That's either a
coincidence, or there's something else going on in your Outlook....

That shouldn't made a difference, but glad its working now. You might also
want to look at http://slipstick.com/exs/customfields.htm - this allows you
to add a field to the message list so you can see the times.
