How to show drawings in other people's Word

Terri

I have a Word document that will be emailed and filled out and emailed back
to me. I have some simple graphics (bars, etc.) in the form that they are
filling out. If they don't have their Word configured to show drawings
(Tools, Options, View, Drawings checkmarked), then they don't see them. Is
there a way to force that option to be checked for this document when other
people open the document, whether their default setting is checked or not?
Thanks in advance.

You could include a macro to set the Options, but most recipients would
either disable the macro or just not open the document, fearing a macro
virus. You could tell them they need to enable the macro (assuming their
Security settings are such that they even get a choice), but it would be
easier just to give them instructions on changing their Options settings.
FWIW, most users won't have "Drawings" unchecked intentionally; judging from
the number of questions we get here asking, "Why can't I see my graphics?"
users do not choose this configuration and would be grateful for information
on how to change it.
