How to shut off transaparent menu in the left corner in show mode

How do I turn off the transaparent mini icon menu in the left corner when in
Show mode .. its a small rectangular box with 2 icons in it and looks like
the bugs you see on TV stations on the lower corner of the screen.

Tools > Options > View > uncheck Show Popup Toolbar
