How to slim my excel file ?

Dear all

i have an excel file which have about 100 lins record x 11 cols in 11 pages.
this is file a file share with different users. some pages having sort
function applied

after few times of edit (without adding much new data in it , just few line
added ) the file generate up to 25 mb and become unstable in some old PC. (P
III 512 mb with win XP) i have tired to use "Removed hidden data" to clean up
the excel , but the size and condition still no impoved.

what should i do to slim my excel file ?

pls help me , many many thx.

With a shared file as Excel is tracking all the changes being made in the
model from different users by default. You can turn this off by going to
Tolls>Share Workbook.... Advanced tab and check 'do not keep history'

You will get a warning that it will erase all version history, click ok

My standard caveat...Don't share Excel files

many thx for yr reply.
this still can't help to slim or speed the excel . ><~~~~

but i found that there may be due to too many sorting added by users.....

i still looking the solution on sorting features...
