Running Windows XP Professional and Office XP Professional. When I install
Office I always receive an error in event manager that says something to the
effect that the program did not register properly in the NT Authority
space...something about Auxiliary tags and installing in an account that has
the least possible privileges?
I have always installed Office in the administrative account since I did not
think it would install properly unless you had admin privileges. Sorry I do
not have the exact error, but I am doing a reinstall of XP and would like to
correct this problem. It seems to affect one of the sv host.exe files which
keeps my profile from loading correctly. I ended up having to load a
program that forced a shutdown of the offending file everytime I turn on the
computer so my profile loads properly.
I was thinking that it could be because I have XP SP2 installed and my copy
of Office XP does not even have SP1 in it.
Is there a way to slipstream the Office service packs into the original
install CD like you can do for Windows XP Service packs? I was hoping that
this would solve my problem unless anyone knows what else could be causing
it???
