Chris

Outlook 2003

When clicking on "New Mail Message," it takes a full minute to open the new
window. How do I speed it up?

TIA,

Chris

Are you using Word as your email editor, and does the same thing happen if
you disable that in tools | options ?

Are you using Word as your editor? Do you have messenger integration turned
on?

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After furious head scratching, Chris asked:

If you uncheck the option to use Word, does it speed up the new message
opening?

Yes, but I like to use Word. Is this something I'll just have to live with?

Thanks for your help.
