How to stop an email send

I am using Outlook 2007 and have an email that started sending but never
completes (my guess is it's too large). I've tried to delete and open it but
I'm told I can't because the email is in the process of sending. I've
disabled send and receive, I turned on work offline. I've exited Outlook,
I've cold booted several times and still I can't delete this problem email.

Please tell me how to abort this email sending.

That's like shooting a fly with a cannon. It should have been enough to go
off line and delete the message.

The OP stated in its first post that this didn't work for hime/her so he/she
tried an alternative ;-)
