How to stop full screen

When I open a ppt from my hard drive, the window opens to
it's default size and I get the normal ppt screen with
menus. When I click on any ppt link on a web page, it open
in presentation mode. Why? And how do I stop it? When I
click on a linked ppt file, I'd like to see the same view
that opens when I open the file from my hard drive.


I don't understand why I get presentation mode for any
linked document and I don't know if I should be looking at
IE or PPT for the solution.

As is often the case, I found the solution to my problem.
If you're curious, the answer is in kb148897. Such an easy
fix it was.
