Hi-
Just setting up Entourage for first time on new Macbook. Want to import recent unread messages from gmail and yahoo servers, but not the 25000 emails from years of emailing.

right now, I can't stop it from importing all of them, even with a force quit.

so my two questions are:
1.) how to manually stop the send/receive
2.) how to set it up to where it only downloads recent emails? set a date range or something?

thanks!

Command period should stop it. If not you can force quit in the Activity
Monitor.

You need to move the older messages out of the Inbox. Entourage does not
know they have been downloaded. It's probably not a bad idea to download
them. Gmail has been known to delete accounts without warning.

Hope this helps!

If you are using wireless, turn it off and go into Entourage and tell it to
work offline. That will get it to quit getting all of your unwanted
messages.
