I had to rebuild a PC recently and then I reinstalled MSOffice 2000
with Outlook2000. I had saved my old PST and PAB files so I now
created profiles to use these old files.
When I started OL2000 for the first time it proposed that I should
switch to using Contacts instaed of the Personal Address Book, because
there were all kinds of advantages to it. So I accepted that OL2000
convert my old PAB into the Contacts folder.
Now when I send email and select recipients from the Contacts OL2000
always tacks on "(E-mail)" ate the end of the recipient name. This is
not wanted behaviour because it clutters the recipients and Cc line
and it looks plain ugly.
Is there a setting somewhere where it is possible to switch off this
stupid extra word? I don't mind if it is in the Registry as long as
OL2000 can stop adding the extra word to the recipient names:
Old recipient:
John Doe
New recipient:
John Doe (E-mail)
What are they trying to prove? I usually use an email program like
Outlook to send email, I would not even think about using it to send
normal ground based mail....
Any ideas?
