How to stop Outlook 2007 from underlining email addresses when rea

Outlook 2007, as compared to Outlook 2003, "helpfully" automatically
underlines anything it thinks is an email address, when reading messages
(both in the preview pane and in a fully opened message). How do I stop that?
I find the extra underlining visually obnoxious, particularly when reading
messages which contain many email addresses in the text of the message (such
as my daily held spam report from my hosted email provider).
It would be nice to also be able to control whether the potential email
addresses are turned in to hyperlinks at all, as the extra convenience of
being able to click on any of them may actually be more of a problem by
turning a dense message in to a mine field of things I don't want to click,
but the most important thing right now is to turn off the underlining of the
email addresses so that I can read the content more efficiently.
Thanks,
-Jay
