How to stop stencils from opening automatically in Visio 2003

When I open a visio drawing it automatically opens all the stencils I
previously used. How do I turn the automatic opening of stencils off?

You need to save your 'workspace' as part of you next save operation.

Close the stencils you no longer need and then:

In 2007 check File/Properties/Summary tab "Save workspace" checkbox then
save the document.

Or in 2003 I think it was on the drop down arrow to the right of the Save
button when you do a Save As operation.
