I use one Excel sheet for a certain project which I need multiple tasks achieved: Keeping track of and adding numbers as well as the contact information such as email addresses. When I add an email address -- as soon as I add the ".com" an email program gets launched as if I want to send an email. It is not even JUST when I am entering. If I want click on the email address to copy it, it will also launch the application. This doesn't always happen, but I don't know what it is that I did/didn't do to make it not happen. How do I make that inactive?

thanks, Cindy

One way:

Uncheck the Preferences/Autocorrect/Replace Intenet and network paths
with hyperlinks checkbox
