how to stop the "office button" from flashing

Does anyone know how to turn off the flashing of the "office button" ?
When you create a new message in Outlook 2007 in the upper left hand corner
the office button turns on like a beacon in the night flashing away and
driving me nuts.

perceptual psych 101 says the eye is automatically drawn by movement. how can microsoft expect us to deal with text while they have a yellow flashing icon going. bad. bad. bad interface design.

Hi, even I faced the same thing, the blinking Office Button frustrates. So, I just tapped on the button, did some configuration settings(just do any changes and revert it back), after that, the Office button stopped blinking.
