How to suppress save on exit (?)

H

Holley

For a user thats just migrated from Office 97 to 2000:

In Word 2000 is there a way to suppress the file save requester that comes
up when closing a file that has only been openned to print, or has been saved
and is then closed straight away?

Preferably without removing the requester when changes to the document's
contents have been made!

(this is from the Select Office 2000 SR-1 version)

(ATM I'm wondering if the 'disable features not present in Word 97' might
work)

Hi Holley,

Does the document contain any fields, such as the date
that change when the file is opened, saved or printed?

If so, you may want to try using File=>Open and right click
and choose Print from that menu to avoid the save question,
rather than opening the document in Word.
