How to synchronise color between monitor and printer ?

How do I set up my publisher program so that when I print out the items are
printed in same colour as shown on monitor screen. I have a photo quality
printer and good quality paper, but colours never print as vivid as shown on
monitor....any advice will be most grateful for, thanks
