how to take backup of mpp files

The files are saved locally. I want to take backup of mpp files that are
saved locally.

Is it possible to take backup of projects that saved to the project server
database. can you come up with a solution.

Im not sure I understand completely but backing up locally saved projects
will not take much time at all. 2mb is 2mb. You can backup the PRoject
Server projects by using the built in backup mechanism within SQL or by
using a third party backup tool that backs up the Project Server database
in SQL.
