I'm trying to import a bunch of comma delimited data where I have some
numeric fields but with a "*" in some of them. The * is supposed to denote
that this value is the monthly max. Well it just screws up the import. I
decided to bring them in as text. I figured I could delete the "*" and
change the field to numeric after I was done. But when I tell access to
replace * with nothing it thinks I mean a wildcard and blanks everything. I
assume this question would apply to all MS products. How do I specify the
character "*" not a wildcard in a search or search replace?
