How to tell the number of licenses

R

Ray

Hi,
At work I have several Office 2007 licenses which came with their respective
CDs. Some CD came with one license others with two or more licenses. On one
of my PCs I get the message that Office cannot be validated surely because I
may have used the same license more than the permitted. So my question is,
does someone know how to tell which CD is which by looking at the original
MS tag?
TIA
Ray

The Licence details are not on the CD. You can use one CD with a number of
licences as long as they are all the same...

An Office disk that say OEM or for sale with a new PC only has one install
(at a time), those that don't say anything about OEM or sale with... can be
installed on two (one device and a portable device for exclusive use by the
primary user of the licensed first device.) If it is a disk labeled for
Home and Student you should not be using that in an office environment.
Enterprise version can be installed on as many computers as you have a
license for. If the disks are with the license key label (the orange label
on the case) then that will tell you how many installs. If in the lower
right corner it says FPP then the one and portable above applies, if it says
OEM or MLK then one install only. Enterprise again should not be on the
case but should be on the sales invoice stating the number of licenses
purchased.
