how to transition from one picture to another in power point

I am trying to transition one picture into another in a power point
presentation. I cannot seem to figure out how to do it. I am using Power
Point 2007. Any suggestions would be welcomed.

Insert both pictures you want to transition (animate) -- then add an entrance
animation for the first picture. Thereafter, add an exit animation for the
first picture and an entrance animation for the second picture at the same
time -- you might have to fine-tune this using the Advanced Timeline. If you
have more than two pictures, repeat the same process.

The Advanced Timeline can be found in the Custom Animation task pane --
click the downward pointing arrow next to any inserted animation, and choose
the Advanced Timeline option in the resultant context menu.
