How to trouble shoot a pivot table & vlookup workbook with links?

I have a pivot table report that is linked via vlookup to another worksheet
w/in the same file. The new datas entered are not updated in the pivot
report after 'refresh' was run. How do I resolve it? Thanks ahead for your
advice.
