How to Turn Off Automatic Contact Checking in Word

T

The Damons

Everytime I type my own name in a Word document I get this stupid dialog box
that says

³Would you like Word to update the contact information in the Address Book
First? You have made changes to the contact information in the document
that are not reflected in the address book. If you choose not to update the
address book and proceed with this action, your changes will be lost.²

If I say ³No² then I get an error in the document that says ³Error: Contact
not defined²

This is driving me nuts. I don¹t want these stupid checks made everytime I
enter my name. How can I turn this off without turning off all
auto-corrections?

Thanks

What version of Word?

Tools | AutoCorrect, AutoText tab in Word 2004 lets you exclude contacts
from AutoText suggestions, I think that was new. But you can keep
AutoCorrect (e.g. changing wierd to weird) and turn off AutoText (when
yellow screentips pop up). Anyhow, Tools | AutoCorrect gives you the four
panels where you regulate what control you do have.
