Howdy;
OK -- Office 2003 Pro installed on my Win XP Pro system just fine.
BUT it did NOT remove Office 2000 as it's installer said it would do.
What I have now is almost half a megabyte (so sez WinXP Add/Remove
Programs) of unwanted and unnecessary Office 2000 program files and
other residue.
How can I _gracefully_ get rid of this stuff--and how do I know for
sure _what_ to get rid of?
As I've ranted before, the Office 2000 uninstaller is broke because of
the Win-installer-1.x versus Win-installer-2.0 debacle.
???
Can I _safely_ just delete a few old directories? ...which ones?
Can I then safely use good old TweakUI to get O-2K out of the
Add/Remove list on the Control Panel?
What about cleaning the registry?
Thanx,
Ken
