I just installed Office 2000 premium on a computer for my kids, but they only
use Microsoft word. I am new to computers is there anyway to uninstall all
the other(excel, powerpoint, ect) and keep just microsoft word? I have gone to
the control panel, add and remove programs, clicked change for microsoft
office premium, then clicked add or remove features. Then I don't know what
to do after that. Thanks for any help in advance

if your kids use
icons and menu
options to access
office,

then just delete
the ones you do not
want and leave/create
the one you want, eg
word.exe

After clicking Change, then Add or Remove Features, you'll get a list of
features. Click on the icon for each one you want to remove and click
"Not available". The icon will turn into a red "X" on a white background.
When you've selected everything you want to remove, click "Update Now" and
follow the directions. You'll need your CD to perfprm the update.

This can be achieved by inserting your install Off 2000 CD as you would start to install and then selecting Add\Remove components from the options that are shown. Unselect the ones not needed and leaving the ones that are wanted.
