How to update -multiple- links to Excel from Word

Is there a method or action to update -multiple- links within a Word file
linked to Excel?

I would like to have a master Word file in which the "source" of links to
master Excel files could be changed by a document property or user variable.
I have many links embedded within my Word file. The edit links action does
not allow me to update the source location for all "similar" links. Even
holding ctrl down and selecting individual -sets- of links, it still prompts
me for individual link updates.

I would think a variable could be set. I tried embedding the source file
path info into the link, but invalidated the link.

Please Help.

You can set the link fields to use an embedded DocumentProperty field: then
you need update only the document property.

Jezebel, I tried the method you outlined. As I mentioned, I invalidated the
link. Could you post an example and clearly define the document property to
use, giving an expanded example ?
I would greatly appreciate any help you are willing to offer.

Here's an example: { HYPERLINK { DocProperty CopyrightURL } \o "Click here
to jump to { DocProperty CopyrightOwner } home page." }

This uses two document properties; CopyrightURL for the hyperlink address,
and CopyrightOwner as part of the screentip.
