How To Upgrade From OEM ver To MS Office ver?

Is there anyway to upgrade an OEM version of Office 2003 Small Business
Edition so that I get non-OEM version with original disk? I lost my original
disk but still have the OEM version install on my computer. I called the
hardware manufacturer. But they will not provide me with new Office 2003
disks because my computer is beyond warranty. And Microsoft will not provide
me with replacement disks because it is an OEM version.

Is the hardware manufacturer obligated to provide replacement disks like
Microsoft does?

I backup my system. But at some point, I would like to wipe everything off
and re-install all applications from original disks. I have been able to
replace all lost disks except the Office disks.

No, you need a full version of Office.

The computer manufacturer's warranty will vary from manufacturer to
manufacturer. And sometimes from system to system. Most times you're looking
at a very short time frame for software replacement. It's not their fault if
you lose it or break it. What about your home owner's insurance?

Have you got MS works on your system? If so then you can buy MS Office
2003 upgrade and use MS Works CD as your qualifying product. If you
don't have Works then try buying it for a few dollars from Amazon and
then buy Office 2003 upgrade version.

For OEM versions, mention to your supplier that you are willing to pay
upto $30 for replacement CDs and see if they can arrange them to be
despatched. Good suppliers will always give you CDs with their brands.
