how to upgrade from office basic 2003 to office pro 2003

My PC came with Microsoft office basic 3003 which does not include
Powerpoint. I need the Powerpoint program, how can I upgrade without paying
an arm and leg for it? Is there is such an update for this?

Hi

There is unfortunately no update as such because the only way would be to
either buy the office 2003 students and teachers edition ($149) or buy the
standalone software for MS powerpoint 2003 (around $100) Or you can also buy
the upgarde cd for office 2003 pro ($399)

Hope this helps

That would be considered a cross "upgrade" and is not supported. An "upgrade" is from a prior version to a
supported newer version.

In other words:
Microsoft Office Basic Edition 2003 IS NOT a qualifying product for the Upgrade Version (a.k.a. Upgrade Price)
of Microsoft PowerPoint 2003 or any edition of Microsoft Office 2003 that offers an Upgrade Version. This
means that you will need to purchase the Full Version (a.k.a. New User Price) product.
