I know auto-archive works based on modified date, but corporate retention
policy requires mail RECEIVED OR SENT that is older than 90 days be deleted.
Auto-archive functionality (and retention policies) will not meet those
requirements "out of the box" because autoarhive will delete mail based on
the "received date/time or when you last changed and saved the message,
whichever is later." (I can't use domain policies because we are using
Intermedia to host our Exchange mail.)
Is there any way to run a program which could automatically set the modified
date for e-mail items to equal the sent/ received date? Ideally, I would
have that program run before auto-archive runs so the retention policy is
enforced correctly. TIA, mw
