Am in the process of implementing Project Server.
I want to use the "hours of work done per day or per week" as the default
tracking method.
It works fine when I create a new project plan, but I have many legacy plans
that I need to import. These plans already have actual work report in some
of the tasks. When I load these plans, they only allow the resource to enter
"actual work done and work remaining" - i.e., you can't enter hours in the
time grid on the right side of the time sheet. If I copy one of these plans
to a new name, like "test" and remove the actual hours and then import it, it
works fine. So it appears that the process of previously recording time us
MS Project is preventing Project Server from permitting day or week based
time reporting.
How can I get my existing plan imported and still be able to use day or week
based time reporting?
Thanks in advance for any help on this.
