Hi there, I am trying to format a column of cells to be able to have a place for either a Checkbox or Yes/No combo list. Any ideas?
Thanks in advanced!

Sorry, but Excel cells can't be used as check boxes - although I guess you
could simply enter an X for "yes" or leave the cell blank for "no" :)

You can, however, supply a Dropdown List using Data> Validation, but for a
simple Yes/No that seems to be a bit excessive... Why not just enter Y or N
in the first place?

Ok I was just wondering. I am more used to using Access' databases and switching to excel for the smaller things takes getting used to. But thanks for your advice for the validation. I'm really open to anything to try if anyone has anymore input.

No problem - But I should point out that there is a Checkbox Form Field
available from the Forms Toolbar. You can add them *on* the sheet as
floating objects but they can't be inserted as cell content. Perhaps they'll
serve your purpose, but without VBA (unsupported in 2008) I would tend to
doubt they'll do you much good.
