How to use the same Outlook address books in two different desktops (WinXP Pro)

Harry

Two people use this computer(Windows XP Professional and
Office XP), the Administrator and a User. Only the
Administrator can use the address books in Outlook. The
User from his different desktop is provided with a new
EMPTY address book in Outlook.

How can I get both Administrator and User to access the
same Outlook address books from their different desktops?

Any ideas would be very welcome.

Assuming you're using .PST files (as opposed to Exchange server mailboxes),
you might want to take a look at
http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/olshare1.htm. It describes a method for
setting up an extra .PST file that can be stored in a shared location and
can contain just the information that needs to be shared. Since the Outlook
Address Book is just a different view of the contents of the Contacts
folder, rather than its own entity, you'd need to put the Contacts in the
shared .PST file.
