How to use Vista’s TTS (speech synthesis) in Word 2007?
I understand Vista has excellent TTS or speech synthesizer for English (and
other languages eg, Chinese). How to make this new TTS read aloud a Word
document? I do not want the Narrator facility that reads menus and dialog
boxes etc.
For Word 2003 and Windows XP, I successfully installed TTS macro as
suggested by G Mayor in his excellent
http://gmayor.com/word_text_to_speech.htm.
The macro uses Speech Object library available in VBA (under Tool Reference).
I am hoping for Vista and Office 2007, I can invoke an inbuilt function
rather than use a macro.
Thanks
