How to view cost and actual cost in View Resource Assignments View

M

Minhchau

We're been using Project 2003 for about 5 months. I created a view under
Assignments. I want to view planned cost and actual cost for all tasks for
all projects. I was able to put in the following fields for this view:
Project Name
Task name
Cost
Actual Cost

When I try to view it by going to Resources/View resource assignements, and
click on the view I created, all fields showed up, but no value showed under
the columns Cost and Actual Cost (even there're hours and costs associated
with the tasks shown).

Please show me how to show these cost and actual cost in this view.
Thanks,

Hey Minhchau,

What you'll have to do is, before you publish your project to the server,
you'll need to open your .mpp file in Project Professional 2003, Go to Tools,
Customize, Published Fields. Select the Cost and Actual Cost. Select the
Assignment Radio Box.

Once you've done that, republish your project if you have already done so.
You need to republish to make sure the Project File on the server reflect the
changes. You can then go and build your view and you'll start to see the
information you wanted.

Hope this helps.
